Botanical Park “Los Yapas” is an educational and participatory project, which is intended to demonstrate the economic viability of environmentally sound land use in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The principal activity in the park is reforestation of the 30 hectares with native and endemic trees, and the rescue of native medicinal plants, orchids and bromeliads.
