What to visit in the neighbours
The west side of the park is bordered by the Andes mountain range. Rain fall in these mountains gives rise to the River Puyo, which is one of the innumerable tributaries of the Amazon River.
In the neighbors of the park, there are several trails for hiking. You will be able to do short easy hikes which will take you into the rain forest environment.
A more difficult trail is also available with a 2 hours hike which will lead you to caverns. The altitude (lower oxygen content in the air) presents an additional difficulty which will make hiking more challenging for persons not accustomed to physical activity.
